The M18 is an 1800W ARRIMAX style lamphead, combining the Academy Scientific and Engineering. Award-winning lens-less optical technology of the ARRIMAX with the innovative True Blue design. The result is an exciting new class of HMI, as small as a 1200W PAR but with a 70 percent higher light output. The “BABYMAX” gives a remarkably even beam spread that casts crisp shadows and is adjustable from 20-60 degrees without requiring spreader lenses.

ARRI is pleased to introduce a new generation of 1000 Hz High Speed Ballasts that accept the challenge of modern digital high-speed photography with ease.

With the new 1000Hz High Speed ballasts it is easy to achieve high quality flicker free images even at frame rates of 500 – 1000 fps and in many cases beyond. This new technology supplies the lamp with a greatly raised 1000Hz square wave current, allowing worry-less shootings for commercials, sports, industrial applications, automotive component testing, ballistics or material testing – even with a single HMI daylight source.
