About the ARRI Orbiter Fresnel Lens

Exploring Yet Another Galaxy

The Orbiter Fresnel Lens creates a precise light spot with a soft single shadow, and delivers true Fresnel output with a real Gaussian field of light. The light output of Orbiter with the Fresnel lens is comparable to the ARRI L-Series L10 and True Blue ST2/3 with 2000W Tungsten bulb.

The Orbiter Fresnel Lens from ARRI attaches to any Orbiter color version to create a precise light spot with a soft single shadow. It delivers a true Fresnel output with a large and fully motorized zoom range of 15-65° that can be precisely positioned while being locally or remotely controlled by DMX/RDM or IP based (Art-Net or sACN).

A status LED display conveniently shows the current zoom angle and an effortless and safe mounting is offered with the Orbiter’s QLM system. Despite its large aperture, this projection lens has a compact 13.4 x 15 x 14.6″ housing with a 9.5 lb lightweight construction. In addition, it accepts separately available ARRI accessories such as 4- and 8-leaf barndoors, filter frames, and physical gels.

True Fresnel Output and Possibilities
The light output of the Orbiter with this Fresnel lens is comparable with ARRI L-Series L10 and True Blue ST2/3 with 2000 W Tungsten bulb. Besides that, its lens diameter of 11.2″ equals the True Blue ST2/3 and T5. Combined with Orbiter’s ARRI Spectra light engine, the high-end optical system is perfectly suited for cinematic application, broadcast studios, as well as theaters or live productions. The Orbiter Fresnel lens is a great addition to the Orbiter Open Face Optics 15, 30, and 60°.
